Homeschool Event: Discover Nature Through Journaling
Overview
Join us at the Edisto Environmental Learning Center for a fun and educational morning on the trail! This program invites students to slow down, look closely, and connect with nature through guided journaling and observation.
Students will explore the grounds of the Learning Center on a short trail walk, stopping to observe native plants, animals, and ecosystems along the way. We'll provide inspiration and prompts to help each student begin or grow their nature journal — whether they prefer drawing, writing, labeling, or all of the above.
This experience encourages curiosity, creativity, and quiet reflection — all while learning more about the natural world around us.
What to bring:
- shoes that stay on your feet
- reusable water bottle
- hat, sunscreen, bug spray
- dress for the weather
- can bring a lunch if planning to stay after the program
