In 1822, James P. Allaire purchased the tract of land that he developed into Howell Iron Works – an iron smelting works that became the lifeblood of Allaire Village, a bustling industrial community that attracted people from all over the world. The Historic Village at Allaire would like to invite you to Home-School Day at Allaire.
Designed to meet the needs of homeschooling families but scheduled to appeal to students of all educational backgrounds and all ages, this new program allows you and your family to experience life in an 1830s industrial town as you and your trained guide explore the village at your own pace. Travel into the village to join costumed interpreters as they guide you through live cooking, gardening, and crafting demonstrations!

Typical School Day Lesson from the 1830s. This will run every hour in the Chapel. 40 minutes long.

Tickets $10 per person (ages 5 & up)
