Join us in person for a fun and festive Holiday Ornament Blacksmithing Workshop! Whether you're a total newbie or have some experience, this is your chance to craft your own unique holiday ornament using traditional blacksmithing techniques. Get hands-on, spark creativity, and bring holiday magic to life with metalwork. Don’t miss out on this cool way to celebrate the season and learn a new skill!

How It Works

Choose Your Ornament Style

We’ll have multiple pre-designed ornament templates to spark your imagination stars, trees, bells, snowflakes, and more.

Heat & Forge

Our team will guide you through properly and safely heating steel in the forge. Once it’s hot, you’ll hammer, shape, and texture your ornament using classic blacksmithing tools.

Add Details

You’ll have the option to punch decorative holes, add twists, create textures, or stamp patterns into your ornament for a custom finish.

Finishing Touches

After forging, you can wire-brush and oil your ornament for a polished look. Each piece will include a hook or ribbon loop so it’s ready to hang on your Christmas tree.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO – Safety & Preparation

Footwear & Clothing

• Closed-toe shoes are required for everyone.
• Long pants are required for forging.
• Non-flammable long sleeves are strongly recommended.

Protective Gear Provided

• Leather aprons
• Safety glasses
• Hearing protection
• Heat-resistant gloves

Guests are welcome to bring their own PPE if preferred.

Forge & Hammer Safety

• Forges and steel can reach extremely high temperatures — always follow instructions from our team.
• Only participants 12+ may engage in hammer-forging; younger kids may assist with design or finishing steps while an adult handles forging.
• Hot metal will be clearly marked and handled safely at all times.

Other Recommendations

• Tie back long hair.
• Avoid loose clothing or dangling jewelry.
• Bring water or beverages (we’ll also have water available).
• Be prepared for a warm environment — forging areas get hot!
