About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

This Hit Me Up event is open to the public, 21+.

You've learned some cute ties, but now you want to learn to make someone squirm. The beauty of predicaments is that no matter which way they wiggle, your bottom is going to feel.... something. The struggle is amusing and relief is debatable. In this class we will discuss what makes a predicament and how to create tension with rope. We will explore different variations of floor ties and brainstorm new ways to make someone struggle. We will cover adding elements like hair rope, toe rope, gags and bamboo. There will be some smaller diameter jute rope that is great for hair rope available for use during class, and if you really like using it you can buy it after class. This class is labeled at advanced beginner, which means you are solid with your single column and double column ties. Knowledge of basic frictions is ideal but not a requirement. All bodies are welcome! There will be modifications offered for all body types and flexibility.

FAQs

FAQ: what should I bring?

Bring at least 4 full size hanks of rope as well as some smaller lengths. If you have 4mm rope for hair and toes, bring that as well, but there will be some available for purchase if not. You should also bring a blindfold or bandana.

FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?)

Tops: As this is labeled an advanced beginner class, you should be confident about your single column and double column ties. Knowledge of basic frictions would be ideal but is not required. If you need a refresher before class, review some of the videos here: www.youtube.com/@TrixieLaPointe Bottoms: You must feel comfortable being bound in challenging positions but also skilled at communicating your needs.

FAQ: what should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfy in! Bodysuits, shorts or snug fitting workout clothes are generally perfect for classes. Please just keep your bottoms on!

FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner?

You must come with a partner for this class. Please note - if you are planning to switch, there might not be enough time for you to try every tie twice.

Hit Me Up is New York City’s curated community for poly and kink. We run meetups, parties, and teach kink with House of Yes, Caveat, Torture Garden, Dances of Vice, and other venues around the city. We got our start running small events for our friends that quickly outgrew multiple venues. Now we are working to build the kink and poly community that NYC deserves—safer, friendlier, and weirder.
