IMPORTANT NOTICE: With the federal government shutdown effective Oct. 1, all public programs on the Refuge are suspended until the shutdown has been lifted.
Join Ceal Craig, Ph.D., a 20+ year volunteer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, for a unique opportunity to dive into the history of Drawbridge, a historic town that once housed a thriving community on an island along the South San Francisco Bay. How did this community survive in the marshlands? Why is it now a ghost town?
The presentation will take place at the Environmental Education Center of the Don Edwards SF Bay NWR, located at 1751 Grand Blvd, Alviso (San Jose). ADA-compliant parking spaces, trails, and portable toilet are available on-site.
If you need any more accommodations or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to watershedwatchers@sfbayws.org.
This program is brought to you by the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society (SFBayWS), the nonprofit Friends group supporting the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex, with support from the Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program (SCVURPPP).
