Founded by Murfreesboro native and MTSU alumnus, Darius Watkins, the festival is dedicated to providing a platform for local artists to showcase their incredible talent. DJ Watkins, a Murfreesboro native and MTSU alumnus, is the driving force behind the festival. With a deep love for live music and community, DJ is passionate about providing local artists with opportunities to shine and connect with audiences. The first annual Hilltop Music Fest is especially meaningful as it takes place on DJs' generational family farm, now known as The Void Cultural and Arts Farm, adding a unique and personal touch to the event. DJ hopes this event will not only showcase incredible talent, but also foster a stronger sense of community and appreciation for the arts in Murfreesboro.
