Renew your sense of discovery, and reap the benefits of immersing yourself in real Florida, on our guided hike of CREW Bird Rookery Swamp (BRS). On this fairly intense ~12 mile hike, led by a CREW volunteer, you'll hike the entire loop at BRS, discover an essential part of the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW)-one of the last wildlife corridors that stretches into the Everglades- and see firsthand local plants and animals of all shapes and sizes. Explore trails with a knowledgeable guide that you can continue to take advantage of long after your guided walk is over. Limited to 12 hikers.
Time: 7:30am - 12:30pm
Distance & Difficulty: ~12 miles, this is our most intense hike across some uneven ground
What to Wear and Bring:
- Dress appropriately. We suggest: long pants, durable close-toed shoes, and hat.
- Wear or bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray.
- Hiking accessories, like walking stick, binoculars, camera equipment, flora and fauna guide books are optional but welcome.
- Bring plenty of water or re-hydration drink & snacks.
Rain or Shine we'll be there. Only canceled due to inclement weather, such as thunderstorms.

Location: Bird Rookery Swamp -1295 Shady Hollow Boulevard, Naples, FL 34120. Meet at the trailhead at the main parking lot.
