HIGH CONTRAST - a community b&w photogallery
Overview
Photo Gallery
Our group show HIGH CONTRAST focuses on black and white photography captured in a range of practices, exploring the motivations of different artists working to find extremes within limitation.
Our gallery will be on display at Signa, in conjunction with the rest of our community film series, until the end of the year. Stop by and see work by artists from across our city and learn more about film techniques and processes.
Black and White Development Lab
Dajoune Rogers-James will be leading our development lab. He is a street photographer with experience in digital and film practice, working as a film lab tech in Sacramento. In this lab, he'll be teaching how to develop traditional silver gelatin black and white film.
We'll provide practice rolls for loading, and all chemicals, beakers, dark bags, and tanks are provided. No experience in film is necessary to participate, but if you have black and white rolls ready to develop, bring them for our dark-bag loading prep tutorial and a 2-3 step bath process!
