Based in West Yorkshire and developing a new product?

Discover support and technology for product development available through the Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator.

Join us for a hands-on session in our interim Makerspace at the 3M BIC, where you can explore a range of specialist equipment, including:

• 3D printers
• Sewing machines
• Arduino kits for electronics development
• VR technology
• Exoskeleton technology
• Brainwave headsets

The session will be hosted by our resident Health Innovation Technician, Dr James Allen, who will be on hand to demonstrate the technology and discuss how it can support your product development journey.

Eligible organisations can access fully funded product development support. Join us to see if you’re eligible and how the support could help you develop your product.

FAQs

Parking

Please be aware that there is NO parking available in the Firth Street Car Park adjacent to the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre.

There are several car parks within a 5-minute-walk from the centre. We recommend either the NCP Colne Road West or NCP St Andrews Road that charge 95p per hour. Find out more here.

Public Transport

The 3M Buckley Innovation Centre is located within a 15-minute walk of Huddersfield Train Station and Huddersfield Bus Station.

The Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator is a partnership between Kirklees Council, the University of Huddersfield and the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre (3M BIC), as part of the West Yorkshire Healthtech Investment Zone.

During the event, photographs will be taken to post on social media to promote the event and our partners’ services. If you do not wish to be included in the photographs, please let a member of the events team know.

We understand that plans can change. If you are no longer able to attend this event, we kindly ask that you cancel your ticket or let us know as soon as possible. Although the event is free for you, there is always a cost to us. It will also help us accommodate others that may want to attend and ensure the event runs smoothly.
