Heroes and Heritage is a powerful community night open to all — students, families, artists, educators, organizers, and anyone passionate about community, culture, and creativity. This special evening features Emory Douglas, the iconic former Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party, whose artwork defined a movement and continues to inspire generations.

Hosted at the Los Altos Community Center, the event will include:

  • A curated art show featuring historical and contemporary pieces
  • An intimate and thought-provoking conversation with Emory Douglas on art, liberation, and the role of creativity in resistance

Guests are invited to engage with interactive storytelling, meet local youth leaders, and enjoy a multigenerational atmosphere of reflection, celebration, and connection. Whether you're joining with friends, family, students, or your community group, this is a night to honor our shared heritage and unite for a better future together.

Dinner:

Mediterranean Bowls with Vegan, Steak, and Chicken Options

  • Made fresh with love by Social Elegance

PS: There will be wine.
