Description

Presented by Theater of War Productions

Hercules in the Bayview is an innovative social impact theater project that presents dramatic readings by acclaimed actors of scenes from Euripides' The Madness of Hercules--an ancient play about an unspeakable act of violence--as a catalyst for powerful audience driven dialogue about the impact of violence upon individuals, families, and communities today. Each performance is followed by community panelist remarks and a facilitated town hall discussion.

Partners include: Bret Harte School and OnePurpose School, Golden State Warriors, Bayview Hunters Point YMCA, The San Francisco Foundation, KQED, The 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic, Infinity Productions Inc., D10 Supervisor Malia Cohen, and The San Francisco Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
