Herbalists of the Global Majority is a gathering of Black, Brown and Indigenous plant people who wish to share and explore our ancestral traditions together in a nourishing community setting. Let us remember what our ancestors weaved, reclaim what may have been lost and create new ways to support our communities.
We invite all who identify as Black, Brown, Indigenous, Latinx and/or multiracial to join us for our first meeting. We will share who we are, where we came from and be in community among practiced and budding herbalists alike. You are also welcome if you work in the healing arts and wish to explore your relationship with plant medicine. All children are welcome and are encouraged to be themselves in this space.
If you are able, please bring a dish, snack or beverage to share. If your offering is homemade, please bring a written list of ingredients for folks with food allergies.
Our intention is to create a space where People of the Global Majority can discuss plant medicine, network, and create community every 2nd Sunday of the month. A place to find real support when we so easily give to others.
Our first meeting will be November 9th from 11am - 2pm at Black Lotus Apothecary. We are grateful to have the opportunity to connect, share space, and get to know each other through these meetings.
We hope to meet you and grow together with you.
