Herbal Basics: Making Tea & Kombucha
Overview
Are you curious about working with the plants and herbs growing on the land around you but aren’t sure how to get started? Consider joining our monthly Herbal Series!
You will learn to identify, sustainably harvest, and make herbal preparations of the plants easily found in your neighborhood and backyard.
Time will be spent connecting with the plants and will also include an herb walk, foraging, and hands-on practical experience making various herbal preparations.
This workshop will focus on learning how to make different kinds of herbal teas, including demonstrations and discussion about the difference between infusions, nourishing infusions, and decoctions. You will also learn about kombucha and make your own starter to take home.
From the herbal curious to beginner and through to advanced herbalists are welcome. Ask us about joining the certificate program!
General Admission: $44
Community Supported: $35
To reserve your spot ahead of time prepayment can be made via Eventbrite or Venmo to @Erin-Livensparger. (Pay via Venmo to avoid Eventbrite processing fees!)
