We often assume that facilitation means creating the agenda, take notes and following up on the action items. Yet, we often then experience common challenges such as the team being unable to make a decision together, frusterating behaviors in meetings, lack of participation, etc. For any leader, a key skill set is learning how to help bring people together to deliver value, without taking ownership. Bringing people together goes beyond getting consensus, instead getting to collaboration means tapping into the knowledge and wisdom of the entire team.
Helping Teams Make Collaborative Decisions is centered on building faciliation skills for leaders. Throughout the course, you will use hands-on, engaging exercises to learn and expand your knowledge. We will explore how to have challenging conversations, confront and resolve conflicts, deal with impediments, address real facilitation challenges, and uncover what drives you and your team for long-term wins.
