Join the Nonprofit Legal Protection Project (NLPP) for an in-person info session for board members of local nonprofits.
Between terminations of federal funding and new federal executive orders and agency actions targeting immigrants, DEI, gender identity and speech, nonprofits are left trying to determine how to stay in compliance with their grants and federal laws, without abandoning their mission, the people they serve, or their capacity. The session will inform board members about how to assess and control risks associated with recent federal actions that threaten nonprofits.
In addition to learning from legal experts, this workshop will provide a networking opportunity and the chance to learn from other board members about how their organizations are meeting their missions in these uncertain times.
NLPP is a legal resource built to ensure that the laws that protect federal funding to nonprofits will be followed and enforced so nonprofits can continue to fulfill their charitable missions.
No cost to attend. Refreshments provided.
