Overview

Learn how to help your child start a writing assignment without feeling exhausted from the emotional roller coaster that so often follows.

During this live workshop on January 17th, you will discover strategies you can start using immediately, so that you can help your child get started on writing assignments that are causing them stress, while building their confidence in the process.

In this workshop, we will discuss:

  1. What to listen for and what to say so that your child feels in control and makes real progress.
  2. Common blocks that make starting feel impossible for students and what small, startable steps you can suggest that will help them get words on the page.
  3. How to respond to your child’s writing in ways that increase their motivation and build confidence, so that they keep coming to you when they need help.
