What is this project?

This is an interactive research project open to all ages and levels of engagement. This coming winter, the GrowNYC Teaching Garden located on Governor's Island is moving to the Parade Grounds. We have been at our current site for 12 years and want to celebrate, remember, and learn from the experience. Whether you come to the garden on the weekends with your friends and family, you are a volunteer, or have worked with us, we want to hear your stories, perspectives, and memories

How to participate?

Sign up for any of the available days!

We will tour the garden, participate in hands-on activities, and have a group discussion. All ages are welcome.

Ferry tickets will be provided!

Dress accordingly, we will be outside, and it might be cold.

OR:

A questionnaire booklet will be available for the last open hours on the 25th and 26th. The gate is open from 12 pm to 4 pm. No sign-up required!
