Help Set up for a Performance and Art Exhibit 6/28/2025

Help prepare The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW) for the inaugural performance of our new creative writing and performance workshop, My Immigrant Life Story! Set up the facility to allow friends and family to witness the creative and personal development that this program makes possible.

What you will do:

• Mount and Hang the students’ artwork and stories. Finalize, print and fold event programs.
• Arrange flowers and Set up our 5,000 square foot theater facility before the event. 
• Beautify the space: do light repairs and light cleaning - sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows and other surfaces, picking up and disposing of odd-shaped or odd-textured items that cannot be swept or vacuumed. 

• For volunteers comfortable using tools: small repairs include tightening screws, using a hammer and nails or a staple gun to fasten items.
• Purchasing supplies, or picking up donated supplies. (ATW will provide funds for this.)

Other important info:

• The day’s events will be videotaped & photographed for our program documentation and communication purposes. Volunteers must be comfortable with this. We will distribute Video Releases to each volunteer when they arrive to review and sign.
• Participants must dress comfortably: sneakers / flat shoes and clothes they can move around in.
• Participants who sign-up should arrive PROMPTLY and stay for the whole event. If a volunteer knows in advance that they cannot come or cannot stay for the whole event, we'd appreciate that they release their spot as soon as they know to allow someone who can stay for the whole event the opportunity to sign-up.
