Help build a new community space in Batesville!

Project Information

Who: A total of approximately 100 volunteers in partnership with the Batesville community, Batesville AgriTech Leadership Academy, Uvalde C.I.S.D., Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc., and KABOOM!

Work is available for volunteers of all levels of skill and ability.

**Please note - All youth under the legal working age for this state will be welcome to participate in youth activities but will not be able to participate in building in the construction areas.**

When: Thursday, October 16 - Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8:30AM-3:30 PM

Where: Batesville AgriTech Leadership Academy, 496 Garden St, Batesville, TX 78829

What's Provided: Breakfast, lunch and water will be provided. Gloves and other safety materials will be provided for the projects that require them.

What to Wear: The court area building project will happen rain or shine. Please come dressed for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are required; sneakers or work boots that you don't mind getting dirty are advisable. Please leave valuables at home as secure storage is not available on site.

Build Site Rules:

All participants must comply with the following practices. These rules have been established and agreed upon to ensure the safety, comfort and respect for all involved. Failure to comply will result in immediate dismissal from the project.

• Work together, treat everyone with respect and use family-friendly, inclusive language
• Report any unsafe or inappropriate behavior to on-site staff
• Please comply with all requests from on-site staff
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Only pre-approved power tools are permitted
• Closed-toe shoes are required
• Youth may not participate in areas of active construction
• No smoking, alcohol or drugs
• The use or carry of firearms is prohibited *with the exception of certified, active officers

Prep Day 2: Friday, October 17, 2025

30 volunteers are needed.

• 8:30 AM - Volunteers arrive and register

• 3:30 PM - All prep work completed (approximate time)

Build Day: Saturday, March 23, 2024

50 volunteers are needed.

• 7:00 AM - Team Leaders arrive

• 8:30 AM - Volunteers arrive and register

• 9:00 AM - Kick-Off Ceremony

• 1:30 PM - Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Solo zapatos cerrados serán permitidos; sneakers o botas del trabajo que se puedan ensuciar son permitidos. Deje los objetos de valor en su casa ya que el almacén de seguridad no está disponible en el sitio.

Reglas del Sitio:

Todos los participantes deberán cumplir con las practicás siguientes. Estas normas han sido establecidas y acordadas para asegurar la seguridad, la comodidad y el respeto por todo lo involucrado. La falta de cumplimiento dará como resultado el despido inmediato del Proyecto

• Trabajen juntos, trata a todos con respeto y usa lenguaje adecuado para familias
• Reporta cualquier comportamiento inapropiado o peligroso al personal del lugar
• Por favor cumple con todas las instrucciones de los encargados del lugar
• Sigue todas las instrucciones de seguridad
• Solo las herramientas pre-aprobadas son permitidas
• Solo se permiten zapatos cubiertos
• Los jóvenes no pueden estar en áreas que están en construcción
• No se permiten bebidas alcohólicas, drogas o fumar
• El uso o portación de armas de fuego está prohibido (con la excepción de los oficiales de servicio activos y certificados)

Día de construcción: Sabado, el 18 de octubre, 2025

Se necesitan 50 voluntarios.

• 7:00 AM - Llegarán los líderes de los equipos

• 8:30 AM - Voluntarios llegarán y se registrarán

• 9:00 AM - Ceremonia de Comienzo

• 1:30 PM - Ceremonia de Inauguración
