Held Together is a series where I share stories about how disability, care, and interdependence shape my life, diving into the hidden dynamics of my CareWeb and the relationships that hold me up, challenge me, and make life richer.

Who’s the first event with?

The first event features me and my longtime friend, Beth, who’s been part of my care web for years. Together, we’ll explore how our relationship has been shaped by disability, care, and everything in between.

Will there be storytelling?

My grandmother who had MS has been nudging me to share my (our) story. I’ve been trying to get on stages, but my sickness makes it really hard to physically get there. I want to use this time and audience to practice telling stories and also to share the stories that are so easy to go unknown.

Can I ask questions during the event?

Absolutely! After the conversation and storytelling, we plan to make space for audience input. I want to hear how my story lands in you, so please do!

Yes! Our hope is to have many of these events and we’d love to hear if you’d like to collaborate on an event.

Yes! The event will be recorded, so if you can’t attend live or want to revisit it, you can watch it anytime.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Once you sign up, you’ll get all the details and Zoom link sent to your inbox. Free admission is also available as we want it to be available to all.
