This heels class is an hour and 15 minute experience that will leave you feeling confident, in touch with your body, and more educated in dancing in a heel. This class is perfect for anyone curious about heels, new to dancing in heels entirely, anyone who has taken a hiatus from dance, or is an advanced dancer that would like a refresher on the basics too! Any dance level and gender identity is welcome in this space. If heels feel overwhelming, no problem! You can take this class in a sneaker too and still get valuable movement quality education without the heel.
You are more than welcome to take the class in tennis shoes if you aren't comfortable dancing in a heel. We recommend heels no higher than 3-4 inches and with good ankle support.
Here is a break down of what to expect during the class:

A brief welcome with a community icebreaker to get to know other dancers in the room
Then we will go into a brief 'what heels to wear and which ones not to' for the best class experience
From there class will move into a warm up to get our bodies ready to dance
Progressions across the floor to go over basics such as weight transfer, movement quality, and walking with confidence in a heel

Learn a beginner level to intermediate level choreography based combo
Practice the choreography and dive into movement quality
Dance the combo out in groups (with an option to film yourself if you'd like!)

Champagne! Your class ticket includes a complimentary glass of champagne following class at the restaurant bar at Flor Fina inside the hotel.
