Heavy Light: Luminescent Ceramics is James Ibur's Los Angeles art debut featuring new ceramic works that offer an unconventional variety of approaches to supporting and accentuating light. The show will be held in the LA Arts District launching the eve of December 5th to January 3rd.

Ibur, a multimedia artist who maintains multiple studios in St. Louis, Missouri, has shown his ceramics and mixed-media work nationally for over thirty-five years and is featured in a number of prominent collections.

Drawing inspiration from the infrastructure of both the natural and modern worlds, Ibur’s stoneware and porcelain works highlight the meditative quality of these objects that both hold and project light.

Join us on this exploration of light, dynamic quiet and provocative centeredness in an increasingly off balanced world.
