A Special Experience

At Hearts in Harmony, the American Heart Association will be live on stage leading a hands-only CPR demonstration. Every guest will learn the basics of CPR and have the chance to ask questions about heart health. You’ll leave not only inspired by survival stories and music, but also empowered to be the bystander who can make a difference.

This event was created by Kylie Kaplan as part of her Mitzvah project, under the Equip Every Heartbeat AHA Leaders of Impact campaign.

“I’ve realized that saving a life doesn’t take anything extraordinary—it just takes someone who’s ready to help. Anyone can be that bystander who steps in when it matters most. With CPR training and AEDs in schools, we can be prepared to protect our friends, our teachers, and even people we don’t know. That’s why this campaign matters to me—it’s about giving every heart a chance. It only takes one person to step in. Be that person.”
— Kylie

The Impact of Your Support

CPR saves lives. Students who learn CPR share it with their families and friends, multiplying the impact.
In Illinois, schools with CPR programs have seen survival rates after sudden cardiac arrest double—from 4% to 8%.
With your help, we can place more CPR kits and AEDs in schools and empower youth to be lifesavers.
