The event brings together expert speakers, survivors, and participants to engage in dialogue, learning, art, and community-building practices. Participants will: Hear about trauma-informed care and recovery. Learn how cultural perspectives influence fear and hesitation around reporting abuse. Build peer support networks, participate in peacemaking circles, and experience safe spaces. Express themselves through art and dance activities designed to foster healing. Receive a self-care bag to aid their healing journey. ✨ Workshop Topics & Activities 1. Domestic Violence Discussion on trauma-informed care, triggers, and survivor experiences with domestic violence and sexual assault. Share hopeful messages about the path to healing and freedom. 2. Art, Music & Cultural Practices Insights into Indigenous cultural traditions. Emphasis on respect and harmony as cornerstones of community well-being. 3. Circles Exploration of different types of healing and community circles, including: Community circles Mentor circles Healing circles Peacemaking circles Participants will gain a better understanding of these practices and how they open pathways to healing. 🗝️ Key Takeaway This workshop encourages participants to come as they are, offering them tools, community connections, and creative outlets to heal and grow together.
