About this event
- Event lasts 7 hours 30 minutes
- ALL AGES
- Paid venue parking
The tickets for this event guarantee transportation into the park.
To ensure our park neighbors aren't impacted by traffic, we ask that all hayride participants meet at 300 Mero Street, Frankfort KY 40601 where they will take a Frankfort Transit bus to the Hayride Loading Area. Staff will be there to help load the shuttles and answer any questions you may have.
Where do we park?
Parking is available at your discretion. Good news, Frankfort has ample parking near the Hayride Shuttles! Here are some options at various price points.
- Free street parking is available throughout downtown on Saturdays
- The Transit Center Parking Garage (510 Clinton St., Frankfort, KY 40601) is a pay-to-park option across the street from the shuttle loading zone. At the time this is published, fees are $1.00/hour with a $5.00 max.
- There is a state-owned garage next to the Mayo-Underwood Building (200 Mero St. Frankfort, KY 40601)
- Free parking is available at the Farmer's Market and at Riverview Park, but please cross the very busy Wilkinson Boulevard safely. If you park at Riverview Park, we recommend using the over-the-street Pedestrian Way to cross safely.
The above two maps are from 2024 -- Corrected and updated maps will be sent to attendees and updated on this page.
Frequently asked questions
This year, we're asking each attendee to have a ticket, but we've worked to make even more tickets available!
Most of the park trails are paved, except the Trick-Or-Treat trail, which is gravel. There will be a transit van located at the hayride loading zone that can take you into and out of the park if you have a hayride ticket. The Military Trail is also unpaved.
If you're taking a hayride, all strollers must be collapsible to fit on the transit busses. Military Trail is an unpaved hiking path, so strollers are welcome but may be difficult to navigate.
Don't worry, we've opened up waitlists for every timeslot. We can't guarantee a spot on the shuttle, but if someone doesn't show up, the waitlist folks will get to board.
Each shuttle ride is about 7 minutes long.
The hayride is about 10 minutes one way.
Don't worry, we've got alternate modes of transportation ready for you. Just let our staff know.
Even if you live in the neighborhood, we don't want you walking into the park on the paved roads for your own safety. Reserve a ticket, but go ahead and walk over to the Salvation Army Parking Lot to join a hayride.
You're welcome to take the military trail, but please only do so during daylight hours.
We love the park, too! However, for the days leading up to and after the event, the park will be closed for the safety of staff and security of our materials. Thank you for understanding!
