Hatha Yoga at the Lilypad
Overview
Refresh your morning routine with this Integral Yoga class at the Lilypad in Inman Square. Led by Parashakti, you'll explore a deeply nourishing, rejuvenating series of classical Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breath control), Yogic Chanting, fifteen minutes of Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and Meditation. Every Wednesday and Friday.
The Integral Yoga method was designed to draw the practitioner into a physical and mental stillness that leads to an experience of one’s true nature— peace and joy.
You can expect to feel peaceful and rejuvenated after class, leaving with more energy than you arrived with. In Sanskrit, "Ha" translates to Sun and "Tha" to Moon, emphasizing the focus of creating balanced and harmonious energy inside and out. This Equanimity is the true experience of Yoga.
This class is appropriate for all levels of Yogis, students are always encouraged to go at their own pace. Bring your own blanket if you like, and dress comfortably.
Parashakti-Vienna is a 200-hr Integral Yoga Instructor. She studied in 2022 at Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville, in Virginia, and lived in the same Yoga community for 3 years thereafter, teaching Hatha to guests and community members. She now lives in the Cambridge area, hoping to share the classical Integral Yoga techniques that made powerful, positive impacts in her life.
