Harvesting rainwater with rain barrels

By Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program

Overview

Efficient use and collection of rainwater

The Rain Barrel Workshop is a hands-on experience learning how to conserve water and help the environment by using rain barrels. Our expert instructor will guide you through the process of setting up and maintaining your own rain barrel.

The Citrus County Department of Water Resources is offering rain barrels kits at a 50% discount to participating Citrus County residents -- just $37.00. One ticket and rain barrel per citizen. No need to register your friend or spouse that will join you, if they are not purchasing a rain barrel. Duplicate registrations with the same name will be deleted. Payment can be delivered or mailed to the Lecanto Government Building address below. Checks payable to Citrus County BOCC. Payments must be received within two weeks of registration or one week prior to the event, which ever comes first. We suggest you check with your HOA to ensure rain barrels are allowed in your community.
