Harmonies For Healing
Overview
Please join us on Saturday, November 15, at 2 p.m. for a heartfelt afternoon honoring Dr. Alan Louis Smith, beloved pianist, composer, and educator, and all those affected by cancer. This special fundraiser celebrates Dr. Smith’s remarkable legacy at the USC Thornton School of Music and pays tribute to the strength and resilience of patients and families everywhere.
The program will feature live performances and personal tributes by pianists from the Blaha Studio at USC Thornton, held at the Steinway Gallery in Pasadena. Whether you attend in person or via livestream, your participation will help advance the fight against cancer and keep the spirit of Dr. Smith, and all those we’ve lost or who continue to fight—alive through music, compassion, and community.
Thanks to the generosity of Jerry Kohl and Jason Subotky, every dollar donated to the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center will be matched two-to-one, up to $50,000, tripling the impact of your gift in advancing cancer research and care.
Please consider taking just a few minutes of your time to make a donation by visiting the donation page here: https://fighton.donorengagepro.com/p/harmonies-for-healing
Proceeds will benefit the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, a global leader in cancer research, prevention, and treatment. USC Norris brings together world-class physicians and scientists in a collaborative environment that drives discovery, delivers promising clinical trials, and provides exceptional, compassionate care.
If you are unable to attend in-person, we invite you to join us virtually via this link for the livestream of our concert: https://www.youtube.com/live/HSccbbDoLnw?si=XYZ-7-RIdK-v1dA0
