Hi! I’m Jan Fishler.

I'm an author, happiness coach, and retreat leader. I created the Happiness Getaway to share what I’ve learned about joy, healing, and living fully—especially with other women ready to be happier.

I have over 20 years of experience guiding women to rediscover joy and purpose. I have a B.S. in English Literature/Creative Writing and an M.S. in Educational Technology/Instructional Design.

I hosted the popular radio show "Tell Me Something Good" on KNCO and have produced over 100 inspirational scripts and workshops. My memoir, Searching for Jane, Finding Myself, explores my healing journey through adoption, while my books Don't Stop Now and 52 Ways to Be Happy offer science-backed practices for bringing more joy and well-being into your life.

Through heartfelt storytelling, neuroscience-backed techniques, and creative writing exercises, I empower women—especially those 50+—to tap into their inner joy and thrive in every season of life.

CO-PRESENTER: KARIN ZARIN

ABOUT KARIN AND JAN

If it weren’t for 23 and Me and the free time provided by the global pandemic, sisters Karin Zarin and Jan Fishler might never have found one another. They might never have discovered their shared obsession with personal growth, their love of dance and movement, or their passion for books and words. They might never have realized they had matching cats or that they had the same somewhat uninhibited style of dance.

So, and after spending countless hours on the phone and after meeting twice in person, the sisters decided to start a business that creates Happiness Getaways for women.

Karin’s emphasis is on movement (dance, yoga, Ageless Grace, QiGong, tapping). As an instructional designer and author, Jan’s focus is on content creation, writing and words. Both sisters bring meditation and the love of outdoors into the mix to create memorable retreat experiences both online and in amazing locations.
