About this event

Arts • Sculpture

Haniwa are traditional clay sculptures from ancient Japan that were buried with the dead as funerary objects. Popularized in media such as Animal Crossing, these little pieces of pottery are as mysterious as they are intriguing. In this class, we will learn a bit about their history as we make or own clay haniwa trinkets, perfect to decorate a desk, garden, potted plant or windowsill!
