An hour-long prompt based generative workshop. Attend one or several sessions to get a variety of inspiration for your own terrifying tales. With Halloween in mind prompts will draw inspiration monster stories/creature features and witchcraft practices. Writers of all genres, styles, and forms are welcome; appropriate for writers of all levels from beginner to published author.
Prompts are a suggested starting point; modify them to fit your needs or ignore them and writer anything you like. Write in any style, form or genre. We'll start the workshop with a short warmup, followed by a 10-20 minute writing sprint to a suggested prompt. Everybody will have the opportunity to share their writing and receive feedback, reading aloud is always voluntary. Responses to writing will focus on what is strong and memorable about the writing. All writing is treated as fiction and kept confidential.
Registration closes 48 hours prior to workshop start time and may be cancelled due to lack of registered participants. If a workshop is cancelled, you'll be notified asap and refunded in full. Please be ontime, participants 15 minutes or more late will not be let into meeting.
