Discover how layering native can create vibrant habitats for birds while helping Baltimore communities become more resilient to climate change. In this workshop, you’ll learn practical ways to transform outdoor spaces around your home, school, workplace, or community space into an urban oasis—and inspire your neighbors to do the same. In this workshop, the National Audubon Society will share actionable tips and resources to help you beautify outdoor spaces and attract beneficial wildlife that supports a healthier urban ecosystem.
This session will be led by Erin Reed Miller, Senior Coordinator of Urban Conservation for the Baltimore Program of Audubon Mid-Atlantic, part of the National Audubon Society. Erin holds an M.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Delaware, where she researched the relationship between native plant species and insect communities under the guidance of Dr. Doug Tallamy. With over a decade of experience teaching bird-friendly gardening workshops, Erin works closely alongside Baltimore communities to thoughtfully increase publicly-accessible, biodiverse green spaces.
