Guiding Questions
To help prepare for our time together, we invite you to reflect on the following questions. They’re designed to spark ideas and help you share your unique perspective as we plan for the future of Hawai‘i Arts Alliance.
1) What do you want the arts community in Hawai‘i to look like in 10 years? What role do you think the Alliance can play in helping us achieve that vision?
2) What kinds of support or services do artists and arts organizations most need right now—and where is the Alliance best positioned to fill gaps?
3) What is one bold idea you would love to see the Alliance pursue—something that could truly transform the arts landscape in Hawai‘i?
4) What are the major opportunities and threats the Alliance should be most aware of as it engages in its work over the next several years?
5) Who are its most important current and future stakeholders and allies and why?
6) How should the Alliance engage with and grow relationships with its stakeholders and allies? In what ways can the Alliance serve as a connector across islands, disciplines, and generations?
7) How can the Alliance support and uplift Native Hawaiian artists, values, and cultural practices in more meaningful ways?
8) How will the Alliance know it is achieving its mission? What will be different if the Alliance is effective in its work?
9) Who else should we be listening to?
10) What other ideas do you want to share?
