Objectives:

  • Increase Your Understanding of General Digestive Health
Provide a clear, accessible overview of how the digestive system works, what “normal” gut function looks like, and how it affects overall well-being.
  • How to Identify Some Common Gut Issues Early
Help participants recognize signs and symptoms of common digestive problems—such as reflux, IBS, constipation, food intolerances, or inflammation—and understand when these issues require medical evaluation.
  • Clarify When to Seek Professional Care
Equip the community with practical guidance on red-flag symptoms and manging chronic illnesses (like diabetes or HIV) that warrant attention from a primary care provider, gastroenterologist, or dietician.
  • Highlight the Role of Nutrition in Gut Health
Explain how diet, hydration, fiber, probiotics, and eating patterns influence digestion, gut bacteria, and long-term gastrointestinal health.
  • Promote Preventive Strategies and Everyday Habits
Offer evidence-based lifestyle and dietary habits that support a healthy digestive system and prevent common GI issues.
