Jennifaye Singleton Gullah Geechee Storytelling
Join us for a special storytelling session with Jennifaye Singleton as she shares the rich history of Gullah Geechee culture. Through her beautifully woven sweetgrass baskets, handcrafted dolls, and books, Jennifaye passes down the lessons of her ancestors. Meet the artist, hear her stories, and discover the traditions that have been preserved for generations.
Sign up for either storytelling session (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm OR 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm) on Saturday, June 7 to meet Jennifaye Singleton and experience Gullah Geechee culture and history like you never have before. Seating will be limited to 20 guests per session based on reservations. Ample standing room will be available through the duration of Jennifaye's presentation for all visitors without a reservation to join in the experience.

Yes, tickets are required to reserve seating for each storytelling session in the Live Oak Shop. If a session is sold out, you are still welcome to attend; however, seating is not guaranteed for the one-hour session.

Yes, photography is welcome and you can get a picture taken with Jennifaye to commemorate the experience of meeting her after the event.

Yes, the Live Oak Shop will have Jennifaye's hand-made sweetgrass baskets in a variety of sizes and price points. Additionally, her hand-made, sand-filled dolls will be available alongside Jennifaye's three published books; Gullah Geechee Legacy, Sweetgrass Dreams and Grandma's Treasure Creates Bond
