GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Largest Pizza Party - New Haven, CT

The World's Largest Pizza Party is a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt to have the most people in a pizza party. This consists of having between 3358 to 5000 participants eat two slices of pizza and stay within the pizza party until it ends at 7pm.

You can participate in the World's Largest Pizza Party by purchasing a ticket and showing up to the Party between 4:00pm and 6:30pm on Friday September 12 on The Green.

The World's Largest Pizza Party ticket gives you access to the Party, two slices of pizza, a water, a drink ticket, and early access to the Apizza Feast featuring over 40 vendors, beer and wine gardens, crafts, pizza, food, music, bike racing and more. You also will get to be part of pizza history!

In order to participate in the World's Largest Pizza Party you will need to be at the Party entrance on The Green starting at 4:00pm with the last entrance time being 6:30pm. We highly suggest arriving 20-30 minutes early since we anticipate large numbers of people waiting to get in and traffic.

There is ample parking in Downtown New Haven, and due to road closures we highly suggest arriving 20-30 minutes early and using either the Crown Street Garage or the Temple Street Garage both only a block or two from the World's Largest Pizza Party.

Ticket are $15 for a limited time and after August 1 raise to $20 for adults. Children and teens under 18 accompanied by an adult are $10. All tickets include two slices of pizza, a water, a drink ticket, and early access to the Apizza Feast featuring over 40 vendors, beer and wine gardens, crafts.

Yes, a minor under 18 years of age may participate in the World's Largest Pizza Party accompanied by a guardian. There are special tickets for participants under 18 years of age.

While we will do our best to accommodate a participant with a physical disability the World's Largest Pizza Party is not recommended for those in this category. We suggest that someone with a physical disability attend the Apizza Feast from 7pm-10pm which is more accessible all around.

The World's Largest Pizza Party is being held on the New Haven Green at 300 College Street with the main entrance located just behind Center Church. Participants will queue in line here and once checked in will be ushered to designated areas to be qualified for this record attempt.

The World's Largest Pizza Party is a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt running from 4-7pm in a controlled area on the New Haven Green for all participants to stay in during the attempt & includes the festival area on College St. The Apizza Feast is a free entry pizza fest from 7-10pm in the same area.

We can achieve the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for World's Largest Pizza Party by having successfully created a pizza party with more than 3357 participants and with all other qualifications being met.

We will announce on stage that we have set a new record for the World's Largest Pizza Party around 7:30pm after we have demonstrated that this record was broken and all qualifications have been met.

This event could be disqualified from setting the record for World's Largest Pizza Party with less than 3358 participants, 10% of the participants leaving the party before 7pm, participants not being witnessed eating 2 slices of pizza or not having enough stewards to assist (1 per 100 participants).

This attempt for World's Largest Pizza Party was the idea of Taste of New Haven founder and pizza guru Colin M. Caplan. He began the process for the 2024 Apizza Feast but due to the immense planning and investment it would take, set it up to time with the 2025 Apizza Feast.

A GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt is a sanctioned attempt to set or beat a record of an approved metric, in the case the World's Largest Pizza Party which means the most people at a pizza party. The GWR teams takes investment, planning and exactness, and they send an adjudicator to judge the contest.

Since we plan on selling tickets to reach up to 5000 participants for the World's Largest Pizza Party we may not have the ability to have walk-in participants, but we will be reviewing this situation as we get closer to the event. We highly advise all interested in participating to purchase tickets.

The World's Largest Pizza Party is outdoors on the New Haven Green and is rain or shine as we all expect the weather to cooperate! In the case of inclement weather please dress appropriately and be prepared to have be saturated in pizza and fun.

The Apizza Feast from 7-10pm is a free entry event and will encompass part of the The Green and also the block of College St between Elm & Chapel Sts. Participants in the World's Largest Pizza Party will have early access to the Apizza Feast and must stay to 7pm, but may then roam the Apizza Feast.

Participants will be offered two slices of pizza which will be vegetarian, but there will not be an option to accommodate other dietary restrictions. We encourage those with other dietary restrictions to enjoy the Apizza Feast with other pizza options from 7-10pm.
