Guided Mindful Bird Walk at the Silver Lake Reservoirs
By Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy
Overview
Mindful birding is the practice of watching and making observations about birds to become more grounded in the present moment.
We will begin and end the walk by checking in with our emotions and physical sensations, and the bulk of the walk will be spent observing the birds. We recommend downloading iNaturalist or eBird to record observations at the end. This walk will be led by Gabby Collins, a registered associate psychotherapist, certified California Naturalist and birder, raised in Los Angeles.
Bring binoculars, if you have some, and dress for the weather.
If you haven't already, consider downloading the free iNaturalist and/or eBird apps and setting up accounts before arriving at this event.
