Frequently asked questions

Will the fish ultimately be released?

Yes! Everything we catch will be released back into the river. Electrofishing allows us to temporarily stun the fish so that we can catch them and record biometric data for environmental monitoring purposes. WRWC has a permit through the RI Department of Environmental Management to do so.
