Guardians Of The Dead Cemetery Walk

Trees are a common sight in most cemeteries, with several species customarily being planted based on their connections to the underworld, funerary practices, or the dead. Join Nicki Schneider and Lisa Harris for a stroll through one of our favorite local cemeteries, identifying traditionally planted cemetery trees while discussing their folklore and mythology in association with the departed. Each participant will receive an herb bundle of some of the trees we’ll discuss to take home.

This is a walking tour; the terrain is relatively flat, though there is a slight hill. Please dress for the weather.
