Andrew Morehead, Global Standars Manager

Andrew Morehead brings a unique background to GS1 US® as a Global Standards Manager.

For six years, he specialized in Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technology solutions for optimizing supply chain rooted in the healthcare industry across the United States. During the onset of the 2020 pandemic, he witnessed first-hand the breakdown in efficiency within healthcare supply chains due to lack of identification and visibility.

This solidified his understanding of the critical role data and technology play in patient safety and in clinical/surgical supply chains to enhance operational efficiency. Transitioning to GS1 US, he further developed this expertise for collaborative work in the GS1 standards around identification, and the capture and sharing of information that drive interoperability, traceability and transparency worldwide.
