By Victory Gardens Theater

Overview

Community writers share works-in-progress with radical sincerity. Join us for an intimate on-stage showcase of new stories in development.

Join Victory Gardens Theater for Growing Stories, a special showcase featuring community writers from our Writers Workshop. This one-hour event invites audiences into an intimate space where emerging storytellers share excerpts of their works in progress, created with curiosity, vulnerability, and a spirit of radical sincerity.

Featuring new writing by Amelia Ramos, Laura Leon, Lawrence Adelson, Mary Kroeck, and Elizabeth Marion, the showcase highlights the early stages of narratives shaped through collaboration and artistic growth. Guided by workshop facilitator Yolanda Nieves, each writer brings a unique voice and perspective, offering a rare glimpse into the creative process as their stories continue to take form.

Held on December 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM–4:00 PM, this event celebrates community, craft, and authentic storytelling. Join us to support local writers and be part of a vibrant creative community nurturing new stories on stage. Doors open at 2:30PM.

Before the show, join our sponsor Poems While You Wait, an interactive on-the-spot poem writing activity in the lobby. More at https://www.instagram.com/poemswhileyouwait/
