Growing Portraits | Closing Reception

Join us for the closing reception of Growing Portraits, a two-part exhibition featuring 50 locally and nationally acclaimed artists exploring the many ways we see and define ourselves through self-portraiture. Throughout the exhibition, each artist has created an interactive digital self-portrait using the beta version of the Growing Portraits platform, accessible via custom QR codes displayed alongside their work. By scanning them, visitors can delve deeper into the artists’ processes, careers, and interior worlds.

This closing event also marks the official launch of the Growing Portraits platform, inviting the public to experience its creative potential firsthand.

Curated by Ben Morey, Adam von Dolle, Cara Mimun, and Stephen Johnson, the exhibition encourages viewers to engage with both the physical and digital dimensions of identity — exploring how we construct, question, and continually reimagine who we are.
