Growing Brain #4: Cognitive and Executive Function

This learning event will review how cognition and executive function development unfolds in early childhood. We will consider ways to support young children in promoting a healthy brain and explore what can inhibit healthy growth and development.
Training Objectives:
1 . By the end of this session, learners will describe how the brain develops focusing on cognitive and executive function development.
2 . By the end of this session, learners will identify ways to support these early years of cognitive and executive functions development.
3 . By the end of this session, learners will summarize the importance of health development in the cognitive and executive functions of the brain.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
