Lunch & Learn: Backyard Habitat: Gardening for (and in Spite of) Wildlife

Tuesday, January 20, 2026

12:00pm

One of the joys of a home garden is the chance to observe and support nature. Birds, butterflies, and other species of wildlife can find needed habitat in our yards - this program is about some ways to make them feel welcome. We’ll also discuss a few options for discouraging some of the uninvited guests who occasionally come to the party.

This is an ONLINE SEMINAR via ZOOM, presented by our Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers; there is no in-person programming for our "Lunch & Learn" sessions. Please note that this session will not be recorded.

The talk is free - but capacity is limited. Please register to reserve the Zoom link. The Zoom link will be provided to you upon registration in a confirmation email and will also be accessible through your Eventbrite account. If you are unable to access the Zoom link, contact Holly Key (hmkey@ncsu.edu) as soon as possible for the best chance of her being able to assist you.

A program handout providing links to abundant resources and in-depth information will be made available to registrants via the email address provided in a reminder email 24 hours before the program. The handout will also be accessible after the session on our website.

If you encounter problems registering or if you have questions, please contact Holly Key (hmkey@ncsu.edu). Thank you for your interest in our "Grow with Us" programming!
