Homegrown Tomatoes

Saturday, March 7, 2026; 1pm-3pm

Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library

1420 Price Park Drive, Greensboro, NC 27410

This is an IN-PERSON workshop, presented by our Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers.

Join us for a fun workshop about all aspects of growing tomatoes at home. The Guilford County Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers will discuss tips for selecting the best varieties, and how to plant and care for them. There will be a live demo on how to start your own tomato plants from seed. We'll also share best practices for preventing and controlling common diseases and insect pests. Bring your questions and experiences to the discussion – and you’ll leave with a tomato seedling (while supplies last), to grow indoors at home until it's ready for your container or garden.

The workshop is free - but capacity is limited. Please register to reserve a seat.

A program handout providing links to abundant resources and in-depth information will be dispersed at the program. The handout will also be accessible after the session on our website.

If you encounter problems registering or if you have questions, please contact Holly Key (hmkey@ncsu.edu). Thank you for your interest in our "Grow with Us" programming!
