N.C. Cooperative Extension - Guilford County Center and our N.C. State Extension Master Gardener program invite you to join us for:
Grow with Us- Composting & Vermicomposting: Recycling with Nature (Virtual)
Thursday, October 30, 2025
6:00 PM
This is an ONLINE SEMINAR via ZOOM, presented by our Extension Master Gardener volunteers. The same program will be presented in-person at the Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library in Greensboro, NC on a different date. Click here to view the information and register for the in-person session.
Composting is the natural way to recycle organic waste material – we’ll discuss the most frequently asked questions about this simple process and the easiest ways to begin. We’ll also go over the basics like what should or shouldn’t be composted, and share a little info about having a successful “worm bin” at home.
The talk is free - but capacity is limited. Please register to reserve the Zoom link.
You should receive a reminder email for this event 24 hours and 1 hour before the event. This email may not have Eventbrite as the sender, but the subject line will contain: Eventbrite Reminder for...(session name). The Zoom link for the session will be in these emails. If you do not receive these emails, please check your Spam folder. If you still do not receive them, contact Holly Key (hmkey@ncsu.edu) as soon as possible for the best chance to be able to receive the Zoom link before the session.
This session will not be recorded. A program handout providing links to abundant resources and in-depth information will be made available to registrants via the email address provided in a reminder email 24 hours before the program. The handout will also be accessible after the session on our website.
In the event of inclement weather, we generally follow Guilford County schools. If schools are closed, we will likely not have class. You can email Holly Key (hmkey@ncsu.edu) or call 336-641-2400 to confirm.
If you encounter problems registering or if you have questions, please contact Holly Key (hmkey@ncsu.edu); (336) 641-2414). Thank you for your interest in our "Grow with Us" programming!
