About this event

Government • Non-partisan

Bringing Houston Together is launching Grounds for Dialogue, a new initiative designed to create a welcoming space for Houstonians from across the political spectrum to share perspectives, build relationships, and strengthen skills to navigate differences. The ongoing series will be introduced as part of Compassion Week in Houston, an observance week that unites and celebrates compassionate efforts in the city.

Grounds for Dialogue is co-hosted by Leah Wolfthal, Council Member Julian Ramirez, and Council Member Sallie Alcorn, in collaboration with Braver Angels, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to depolarization and bridging divides.

Purpose
Houston is a diverse city where people of various backgrounds live side by side; however, our political differences often keep us apart. Grounds for Dialogue will offer opportunities to change that. While gathering over coffee and pastries, participants will engage in meaningful, facilitated conversations on essential topics, fostering trust and connection.
