Get to the Heart of What Matters Most -- with a GROK Party! Christine and Jean will be assisted by Senior Nonviolent Communication (NVC) students Cheryle Gail and Jill Perakis.

Join us for a GROK Party on Zoom! GROK is a set of 20 relationship games--70 Feelings Cards, 70 needs cards, and exercises designed to help us hear and express our feelings, values, needs, wishes, hopes and dreams. GROK founders Christine and Jean will lead you in a number of games and exercises (from playful to serious) to support deep listening and self-connection. GROK games are based on the communication process known as Nonviolent (or Compassionate) Communication developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D.

We request that you have a basic knowledge of Nonviolent Communication and a copy of GROK card games with you for the GROK Party. If you don't already have your own copy, you can purchase the game here: groktheworld.com. Use the code "compassion" and get a 20% discount.

During this workshop, we will share ways that you can play GROK with your friends and family. If you are a trainer or teacher, you will learn how to use GROK games in a workshop or training. 

Each hour, we will take a stretch/water/bathroom break. During the second half of the workshop, you will be in break-out rooms with six people playing Group GROK (aka "empathy poker"). We will meet together as a group to harvest what you have learned at the end.
