About this event

Health • Mental health

Join us for the Grief Workshop—a free workshop exploring the spectrum of grief through writing and movement.

With techniques borrowed from dance and Qigong, a Chinese practice involving moving meditation and breath work, Joshua Ongcol will guide us through the ways heavy feelings and emotions sit in the body and how to release.

Then, through a writing session using prompts and conversation lead by Martin Thomas Dufresne, participants will get to explore ways to write and journal about grief.

While this workshop requires the willingness to go to and sit in uncomfortable feelings, it aims to create a safe space where participants can explore their relationship to grief and find new ways to share and release while being in community.

Although this event was inspired by the Lapu-Lapu tragedy, we invite everyone who can relate to sadness and grieving to attend.
