Sure, gremlins can be scary, but the worst ones are the inner critics in our own heads and of our own creation. You might hear them telling you "You'll never land that job. You're not qualified," or "Don't get your hopes up. It's never going to happen."

In this spooky time of year, we’ll explore what our own personal gremlins might be and how to keep them from holding us back. This two-hour program will be held at the Frick Park Environmental Center's Greer Living Room, a cozy space that overlooks the park's Falls Ravine. The “gremlin” theme is inspired by Rick Carson’s classic, Taming Your Gremlin. The wooded location is inspired by, well, my love for nature.

What to Expect

Participants should expect an intimate conversation among like-minded individuals. Under the direction of Associated Certified Coach Amy Camp, the group will work to understand how and why our inner critics function, identify our own, and leave with strategies for keeping them in check.

The workshop falls during a full moon. Stick around afterward for the Pittsburgh Park Conservancy's Full Moon Hike (8:30 p.m., advanced registration required). They are unlikely to spot any gremlins in the woods.
